Money the group raises together.

Welfare dues, funeral levies and building funds. Collect by link or from a register, and see what the fund holds at any moment.

The opportunity

A welfare collection runs on a notebook and a WhatsApp thread. Nobody can say what the fund holds today, and the treasurer is the only record.

SusuPaa gives the fund its own page, its own register and its own figures. Members pay by mobile money, and the committee can read the fund at any time.

Why organisations choose Funds

  • The group's money

A fund belongs to the group that raised it. No member holds a balance in it, and no member withdraws from it.

  • A page anyone can pay

Share the fund's link or its QR code. Someone paying for the first time becomes a member record when their payment settles.

  • Dues that keep count

Set an amount and a frequency, and each member's periods are tracked. A payment clears the oldest one owing first.

  • Money out, on the record

A disbursement names who was paid and what for, and it is capped by what the fund holds.

Collecting

Set who pays, how much, how often. Four settings, independent of each other, fixed when you activate the fund.

A fund carries its own rules. Choose whether anyone with the link may pay, or only members on your register. Choose any amount, a fixed amount, or a minimum. Choose a one-off collection or a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly one. Set an end date, or leave the fund open until you close it.

  • Open or members only

A link anyone can pay, or a register where each member has a fund number.

  • Amount rules

Any amount, a fixed amount, or a minimum you set.

  • Start and end

Open until a date you choose, or until you close it.

Dues

Know who is behind, at a glance. Standing is worked out per member and per period, from what the fund actually received.

A members-only fund with a fixed or minimum amount tracks each member's periods. A payment clears the oldest period owing first, and anything extra stays on the current one. The register shows who is up to date, who is behind, and by how much.

  • Oldest period first

A payment settles the oldest amount owing before the current one.

  • Arrears list

Everyone owing today, with how many periods and how much.

  • Reminders

Message the members who are behind, each with a pay link.

Paying out

Record what the fund pays out. Every disbursement carries a payee, a purpose and the method it was paid by.

Money leaves a fund as a recorded disbursement. Name a member or type the payee, say what it is for, and record how it was paid. A disbursement cannot exceed what the fund holds. Reverse one and the reversal stays on the record beside the original.

  • Payee and purpose

A member on the register, or a name you type.

  • Approval first

Your approval rules apply here too.

    How controls work
  • Reversals, recorded

A reversal is visible against the disbursement it undid.

FAQ

Questions people ask about funds

Is a fund a savings account?

No. The money belongs to the group and is spent on what the group agreed. For a member's own savings, use passbooks or savings plans.

Can anyone pay, or only members?

That is your choice per fund. On an open fund, anyone with the link can pay, and their phone number becomes a member record once the payment settles.

Can we run more than one fund?

Yes. Each fund has its own rules, its own register and its own figures. A monthly welfare due and a one-off building fund can run side by side.
